The sheriff acts as a law enforcement official, collects real property taxes, provides court security and performs various other duties. He must be at least 24 years old and must have a certificate stating that he is qualified for office. The certificate must be signed by the court of appeals or circuit court judge. He also must execute bond prior to taking office. The office is located at 100 Main Street, Munfordville, Kentucky.
